Features

Performance-driven
Component documentation generation in seconds. No slow grid generation. Retain the ability to actually edit your components.
Toggle on & off
Turn documentation on or off with a simple toggle. Plugin detects existing documentation. Toggle grid lines on and off as well.
Custom colors
Set and save custom colors for components on darker backgrounds, where the default purple doesn't work.
Custom font
Use your design system font in the documentation. Set and save your preferred font family.
Booleans & nested instances
Document boolean show/hide properties and nested instances. Pick and choose which ones you want to document.
Built-in organizer
If your component isn't organized enough for a grid, use the built-in organizational features to make it so.

How to use

  1. Select a component variant set in Figma
  2. Click "Generate docs" to generate component documentation
  3. Use the Organize tab to structure your component if it doesn't fit a grid yet
Johan Ronsse
We built Obra Autodocs because we were unhappy with existing options. Our solution to documenting components is more performant, and gives designers the choice what to document exactly.
